Every year CCW runs Baby Bottles for Life to raise money for Waterleaf. Waterleaf is an organization that helps women in crisis pregnancies choose life for their baby instead of abortion.  Unfortunately, in the current Covid19 climate, we cannot distribute the actual baby bottles as we have in the past. So, we are doing a virtual baby bottle collection for the entire month of October.

There are 2 ways to donate:

1. Go to the website

2.  Write a check payable to Waterleaf and place in the collection basket at any weekend Mass. (Please mark your envelope “Waterleaf”)

Thanks for your generosity and love for these unborn children.

Undy Sunday: October 2020

St. John the Apostle is supporting Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet and the individuals and families they serve by providing new underwear, undershirts, socks, diapers, and other basic need items for children and adults living in low-income households throughout the month of October. This year, due to COVID-19, Catholic Charities is requesting donations in either of the two following ways:

Undy Sunday Amazon Wish List – Choose from a list of most-needed items and your donation will be sent directly to Catholic Charities to help those in need.

Monetary Donations to support Undy Sunday – Donations made to Undy Sunday will be used to purchase the items needed by Catholic Charities’ clients.

Please visit to make a donation or view the Amazon Wish List.

If you’d prefer to send a check directly to Catholic Charities, please mail it to:  Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet/Undy Sunday, 16555 Weber Road, Crest Hill, IL  60403

Mondays from 5:00 - 6:00 pm at St. John and by appointment.

Tuesdays from 5:00 - 6:00 pm at St. Alexander and by appointment.

Masses have limited capacity. Your health is most important to us.

The dispensation from the Sunday obligation remains in force indefinitely.  Those most susceptible to contracting COVID-19 by virtue of age, medical condition or other vulnerability should not attend in-person Mass.
