DIOCESAN RESTRUCTURING PHASE 3
Message from the Pastor regarding Restructuring Phase 3
All parishioners should plan to attend both Parish Sessions to be held on Thursdays, October 3 and November 7 at 7:30pm in the church. Session 2 builds on the information shared in Session 1. Our session facilitator is bilingual.
OUTREACH
Food Pantry - collecting October 5-13 / Canned Vegetables
Our food donations are supporting the York Township Food Pantry which operates solely on private contributions and in-kind donations. Items are collected on the first two weekends of each month. Item(s) of the Month Schedule
UNDY SUNDAY
Collecting the weekend of October 19/20
St. John the Apostle Parish is helping Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet and the individuals and families they serve by collecting the following NEW items for children and adults living in low-income households: Women’s underwear (any size); Men’s underwear (any size); Men’s undershirts (M-XL); Child and Adult socks (heavy winter socks are appreciated); Diapers (size 1-5); Pull-ups (2T-5T); Feminine hygiene products.
Collection bin will be in the church narthex or
you can donate online through the Amazon Wish List.
New and Gently Used Winter Coat Drive through November 23
to benefit the men, women and children served by Our Lady of the Angels Mission in Humboldt Park.
Check your closets now for coats to donate or you can purchase new coats! Drop coats off in the church narthex on the weekends! We are teaming up with St. Alexander on this project. Cash donations can be placed in the donations box in the church narthex or use the QR code on the poster to donate online. Donations by check should be made payable to St. Alexander Church. Thanks for your support.

St. John the Apostle is a friendly place, as you have already experienced and it is an honor and a pleasure to serve at worship. If you have questions or would like more information about serving as a Lector, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Altar Server, or volunteer in another capacity, please call/text Deacon Ron at 630-279-7433.
Adult Volunteers are needed to serve as Greeters for Reconciliation/Confession on Mondays from 5:00 - 6:00 pm.
