What's Happening ...
On February 13, 2025, Bishop Hicks rendered this decision:
St. John the Apostle Parish in Villa Park will amalgamate into St. Alexander Parish in Villa Park. St. John the Apostle Parish will close its church and buildings.
These changes will go into effect as of July 1, 2025.
INFORMATION REGARDING THE RESTRUCTURING
St. John and St. Alexander Unity Prayer Group
On July 1, St. John’s and St. Alexander’s will come together as one parish family. In an attempt to make the transition smoother and easier for both parishes, we are forming a “Unity Prayer Group” to ask God to guide us as we get to know each other. All parishioners from both parishes are invited. We will meet weekly at 6:30pm on Wednesdays. We will be alternating between St. John’s church and St. Alexander’s gathering space. Schedule

“The Chosen”— Season 4 will be shown at St. John’s beginning Monday, March 31st at 6:30 in the library.
There will be one episode shown each evening followed by a group discussion. All parishioners of St. John’s and St. Alexander’s are invited to join us.

Priests from the 15 parishes in our Deanery will be available at all times for English Confessions and at some times for Spanish and Polish Confessions.
