Adult Confirmation Preparation

Are you an adult Catholic, 18 years or older, who lives in the Diocese of Joliet, and has not been confirmed? To begin this preparation, check with your local parish to see if an Adult Confirmation class is offered.  If you live in the Archdiocese of Chicago, please telephone (312) 534-8042 or go to www.catechesis-chicago.org. for information on classes in your area.

St. John the Apostle Parish offers Adult Confirmation classes annually.   In 2023, classes were held on the following Sundays:  January 8, 15, 22 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.

You will need to bring proof that you have received your Baptism and First Communion.  You will need a sponsor who has received all his/her sacraments.  Adults will be confirmed at the Cathedral of St. Raymond in Joliet, usually after Easter.

If you have questions or want to register, please contact the parish office at 630-279-7404 or Deacon Ron Madsen at 630-279-7433 or by email at deaconronmadsen@gmail.com.

Generally, preparation classes are bilingual and are held on the first Saturday of each month at 10:30 am.  Dates are subject to change -- You must register prior to attending the class, and you may do so by contacting the parish office at 630-279-7404 or Deacon Ron Madsen at 630-279-7433.
