On February 13, 2025, Bishop Hicks rendered this decision:
St. John the Apostle Parish will amalgamate into St. Alexander Parish in Villa Park. St. John the Apostle Parish will close its church and buildings, effective as of July 1, 2025.

St. John and St. Alexander Unity Prayer Group
All parishioners from both parishes are invited. We will meet weekly at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays. Check the bulletin for the latest schedule of dates and locations.
St. John the Apostle will close June 30, 2025.
